I was working on a layout project. I started the project from scratch and has been working on it for a month in KLayout (version 0.27). This evening, as I was working, the layout suddenly closed. While I try to open it, it gives me a error unexpected end-of-file (position=196262, record number=1730, cell + Qc6). Can anyone help how to solve it. Really appreciate your help.
Thank you.

Disk full? You file appears to be partially written only. But without the actual file it's hard to say what is wrong.

Thank you for responding. Definitely not disk full. Since I have a lot of memory on my system. If you would be kind to look at the file, I can send it to you. How can I send it to you? Appreciate your help very much .
.
Thank you for the file.
I'm afraid however, there is little I can do. The file just stops after exactly 192kB. It contains some huge polygons, but as I see that these polygons are ~2500 points which can be handled smoothly in GDS. So there is no indication of a real issue, but I also cannot recover anything after these 192kB.
Maybe the file you were working on was stored on a network drive at lost connection during the write? I personally made the experience that VPN connections are not always good for sharing network drives.
Did you receive any error message? KLayout doesn't simply close, it should at least display a crash logger message.
Matthias
I don't know how much this helps, but I have attached what I could recover from your file.
HI Matthias, Thank you for your effort to help me. Unfortunately, the recovered does not contain my main work. Also, I do not remember any error message popping up.
