Hi, Matthias.
Xsection is actually a very perfect package when we use xs file to enter data.
However, I would like to modify this a little bit more in order to open to engineers who can't program at all, because they can't edit xs files.
I found that in the previous discussion ( " Cross Section View 2D ", June 2010 ) your last comment ( February 2014 ) had answered a similar question, and mentioned a Ruby script which allows to define cross section recipes by describing process steps. But the link you gave is invalid.
So, can I find this Ruby script again?
Alternatively, implement this functionality in other way?
Thanks,
Aiyana.

I don't recall to be honest. I think that was simply what today is the XSection package.
I'm afraid there is no simply way to define the steps for a technology. XSection is already too simplistic in my perception. Maybe this presentation of mine gives some additional useful background information: https://peertube.f-si.org/videos/watch/25b56a31-7357-468c-a9fd-8938e6005fe4
I found it useful to give people some simple template and demo layout and they will start playing with it. There is some (good, I hope) documentation here: https://klayoutmatthias.github.io/xsection/DocIntro
