Hello,

I am new to use klayout tool. I am working on 0.18um. so how can i check DRC rules in klayout after drawing ? I have calibre tsmc 0.18um rule file.

Hi Rakesh,

you'll need a DRC script to run the DRC. The script maps the design rules to KLayout's DRC language. KLayout's DRC language differs from Calibre's ruledeck format for various reasons, so you cannot simply load the Calibre ruledeck. But unless TSMC makes use of special features of Calibre it will be fairly simple to rewrite it.

The design rules are not public so I cannot simple provide a KLayout version of the DRC file. Once KLayout DRC popularity increases, TSMC might add a KLayout DRC file ... well, just kidding - I doubt they have KLayout on their screen ...
