Creating a via fill

Hi my goal is to fill an existing cell with an array of rectangular vias so that the vias lie within the boundry of the selected cell. Is there a ruby script where I could select a cell then run the script and the cell would then be populated with specified vias?

Hello,

did you have a look into the "tiling tool" feature already? Please see http://klayout.de/doc/manual/tiling.html for details.

Maybe ruby scripting is not require for that purpose.
