Transformation of cell into new coordinates

Hi,

I am writting a small script which clips different areas of different gds files into one new gds file. When an area from a topcell is copied, I want to transform this cell into new coordinates. I have tried to work on the transformation function, but I have not been able to make it work?

    could you be somewhat more specific? Like pasting sample code or maybe explain what is not working?
