For all who downloaded 0.24.5 already: there is a severe bug in the redrawing code which disables redrawing in some cases.
This bug is going to be fixed right now and a new 0.24.5 will be available soon.

The issue is fixed now. 0.24.5 is ready for download and should work as expected.
The "Help/About" dialog of the fixed version shows "0.24.5 r3197" as the patch revision.
