Klayout update
Hi sir,
I have a recommned about Klayout version.
I am Mask design team leader , we have some of person to working for design.
Klayout is a good tool for viewer and some of DRC.
As Klayout version history , such as 0.27.12 to 0.27.xx....
Is is possilbe ...
1.mail a message to let klayout member to know that version update.
or subscriptioner.
2.make it difference , if the version just enhance performance ,
and some of version is key update / big-bug fix.
that will make me easy to control that if we have to update or not.

There used to be a RSS feed, but apparently it has stopped working. I'll check that.

RSS feeds should work again (https://www.klayout.de/news.php)
At that link I see a short wall of ASCII text, looks like
links and some sort of gibberish tags mashed up but
I would have thought a .php ought to have some
"action" to it?
But I don't know from RSS, just that clicking a link
usually has more of an outcome.
@dick_freebird Browsers today do no longer subscribe to RSS feeds automatically, that is why you see text only (Firefox stopped doing so in 2018 for example). There are browser plugins available (for Firefox see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/feed-reader-replacements-firefox) or you can subscribe through your mail client.
RSS feeds are somewhat outdated today. But I personally like the idea of an anonymous subscription and frankly, there is not much traffic there anyway which would justify a more elaborate notification service.
