Hi,
I am importing layer information from ADS momentum a microwave simulator and layout tool. I do this with a script that imports layer information from layout files in ADS and then writing the K-layout .lyp xml layer file.
For fill/dither-patterns, ADS uses some numbering scheme and K-layout uses so Ix numbering scheme. Is there a description or algorithm for which Ix number matches which dither-pattern, in K-Layout. I would like to make my script translate the patterns consistently from ADS to K-layout.
Thanks
Mike C

I was just looking into part of the code for dither pattern. This piece of the source code might help you. Maybe we need a documentation page on the layer properties file?

Hi Mike,
you can define custom dither pattern in the .lym files. See here for details: https://www.klayout.de/lyp_format.html.
