Multiple open KLayout instances stutter

Hello,

whenever I open more than one KLayout window, the programm starts to freeze for half a second every few seconds. Everything works an intended, but it stutters.
As soon an the second window is closed, everythin returns to normal. As a workaround it is also possible to open all needed designs as new tabs.

I have found the problem on two machines. Does anyone have the same issue?

KLayout 0.25
Windows 10 x64 (1703)
Intel i5-4210M
8 GB RAM

    Hi Luis,

    I don't see this issue even with many windows open. The only reason I imagine is a poor network connection for the file access. KLayout by default checks whether the time stamp of the file loaded has changed and offers to reload them. If this (usually quick) operation becomes slow - e.g. because the file is on a slow network share - KLayout may freeze.

    You can disable this feature in File/Setup - Application/General and uncheck the "Check files for update" box.

    Please check whether this solves your issue.

    And please try to update to the latest version.

    Hello Matthias,

    I am working over a network and response times are low sometimes. So your guess was a good one!

    Disabling the update check removed the short freezes, while multiple windows are open.
