Bug: Klayout will not display a second time

Hi,

Starting Klayout and open a GDS file works fine.
However after closing the file and then open another GDS file, the layout window is never opened for the new file.
If there is a method to show the second layout, I have not yet found it.
My only solution is now to terminate Klayout and start it again, to open the next GDS design.
Is this a known behaviour?

Mac OSX
System version: macOS 10.12.6 (16G29)
KLayout 0.24.10

    Hi all,

    I'm not a Mac user, so I can't confirm this issue. It is not seen on Windows or Linux.

    Is there anyone who can confirm or comment on this?

    Hi Matthias,

    I've checked roughly.

    1. Result
    * Could not reproduce the issue reported by Bengt using the two
      GDS2 data bundled with the source code:
        a) pcell_test_0.gds
        b) t9.gds
    * KLayout works fine.

2. Executable
    * KLayout 0.24.10
    * from the binary package
          klayout-0.24.10-MacOSX-Yosemite-1-Qt487mp.dmg.bz2
      that I provided in April.

3. Environment
    * OS: macOS Sierra version 10.12.6 (virtual machine)
    * memory: 6GB
    * host: VMware Fusion version 8.5.8 running on OSX Yosemite 10.10.5
    * real machine: MacBook Pro Mid. 2012 / 16GB / Core i7 / 2.9GHz

4. Notes on the binary package and run time environment
    * The binary package was built on OSX Yosemite 10.10.5 with
      Qt 4.8.7 from MacPort.
    * The "macOS Sierra" machine is set up as a pure end user machine.
      That is, no development tool (Xcode, MacPorts, Homebrew, Anaconda, etc.)
      has been installed.
